The Student Volunteer Army
Our programmes
-
Our campaign to mobilise, engage and support a new generation of volunteers in primary schools. Students focus on building skills to enable student-led volunteering.
-
Our nationally recognised framework for intermediate and secondary school students to log their volunteering hours and receive recognition for their contribution, whether it's within their school, whānau, or neighbourhood.
-
Self-governed SVA Clubs based at seven tertiary institutions lead the way to combat societal gaps with initiatives that are not only accessible and inclusive but, above all, enjoyable.
-
In times of crisis, SVA mobilises volunteers across our programmes and wider networks to support community needs.
Empowering youth through volunteering
Through volunteer programmes at primary, secondary and tertiary education levels, we empower young people across Aotearoa, equipping them with the skills and resources to help communities recover and cultivating a resilient volunteering culture that will last across generations.
We aim to ensure that volunteers receive the recognition they rightfully deserve for their valuable contributions to their community, whether it's within their school, whānau, or neighborhood.
Thanks to support from our funders, partners and public donations, all our programmes are free for students and teachers to take part in.
